Wire Drum couplings are divided into roller drum couplings and gear drum couplings. They are mainly used in the transmission devices of crane hoisting mechanisms, including single and double-girder crane drum systems, metallurgical rolling mill transmissions, mine hoisting equipment, and so on.

 

Roller coupling consists of an outer sleeve, spherical rollers, half-couplings, an inner cover and an outer cover. It transmits torque and bears radial forces through spherical rollers, with a compact structure and self-aligning function.

Gear drum coupling is composed of a drum-tooth external gear sleeve, a flanged outer sleeve, a load ring and sealing components.

Notes on Installation and Adjustment of Wire drum couplings

1.Select the appropriate model and size.

2.Check the matching condition of shaft bores and flanges.

3.Clean and lubricate the coupling before installation.

4.Install with special tools and tighten fasteners according to standards.

5.Carry out correct commissioning and alignment.

 

Maintenance Points of Wire drum couplings

1.Pay attention to installation accuracy: Ensure the alignment accuracy of two shafts during installation to reduce extra vibration and wear.

2.Every three months, check the relative position between the positioning wear pointer and the positioning wear mark, as well as the condition of connecting bolts.

3.Regularly inspect the axial movement of the Wire drum couplings. If the axial movement exceeds the limit, adjust the axial clearance of the drum assembly fixed support base in time and lock it.

4.Check the lubrication condition of the drum coupling and replenish lubricating grease every 3 months.

5.After long-term equipment shutdown, replace all lubricating grease to prevent failure due to aging.

6.Under normal working conditions, replace the lubricating grease at least every six months.
