Hydraulic Safety Couplings – True Safety Couplings

Hydraulic safety coupling is a form of coupling. Compared with traditional couplings, hydraulic safety coupling plays an important protective role in various abnormal working conditions on the production line, such as sudden material jamming, instantaneous blockage, impact load, torque surge, etc., to avoid direct damage to the gearbox, motor, spindle, etc., thus avoiding shutdown maintenance.

KUDOSWORLD hydraulic safety couplings offer excellent overload protection. The overload release torque can be adjusted by varying the hydraulic pressure, with a transmissible torque range of 2 kNm to 500 kNm. KUDOSWORLD hydraulic safety couplings serve as a direct alternative to Voith SafeSet couplings.

In the Huaxin Cement Hoist Renovation Project, the rated working torque of the hoist is 35KNm. The customer originally used an elastic claw coupling, which was upgraded through KUDOSWORLD. After replacing the elastic claw coupling with a hydraulic safety coupling, the safety coupling not only meets the requirements for use but also provides protection for the hoist. The downtime for maintenance has been shortened, and there is no need for additional maintenance except for the regular maintenance downtime period during project operation.
